All Harvest 62 products are made in small batches to ensure quality in my home workshop in Yellowknife.
Our Process
When foraging, I select areas with healthy populations of plants and make sure I do not harvest in areas where the plants could be enjoyed by others. Respecting plants is an important part of my process, and I have been taught that being in good relation with the plants directly impacts the strength and quality of their medicine. One way I do this is by observing the simple rule I learned from my mom, who was an avid gardener and passionate naturalist: three for me, three for the bees. Never take more than you leave.
All hydrosols are distilled with fresh materials in the summer and fall, and dried plant materials in the winter. All plant materials are rinsed, cleaned and prepared by hand before they are distilled or dried. This means that there is a slight difference in smell between winter and summer hydrosols, but because I do not use preservatives, this is the best way that I can offer quality products all year round.

About Megan
Growing up in Yellowknife, I loved spending time outdoors- but the rugged demands of Northern seasons were hard on my sensitive skin. I spent many years looking for deet alternatives and natural mosquito repellents that actually worked. I spent hundreds of dollars trying to find products that could keep my reactive skin happy and healthy. Finally, I decided to put my scientific training, passion for aromatherapy and love of experimental crafting to work and create my own solutions. For fourteen years, I tested and refined my recipes. They worked great, but I felt that something was missing. That all changed when I learned about the medicinal properties of Northern botanicals and felt humbled by the realization of the incredible abundance growing right under my nose! I started working to understand some of these plants and learn how to integrate them into my products. The result was three lines of products that I feel inspired to use, and am proud to share with others looking for healthy, natural solutions for everyday Northern living.
